Monty Miranda
Monty Miranda’s commercial work is known for its comedy and evocative use of music with quirky stories and realistic characters. The Cannes Film Festival, the Clio’s, the Effies, the Addy’s, BBC’s Most Outrageous Commercials and FOX’s World’s Funniest Commercials have recognized Monty Miranda’s commercial work, and his award winning political spots have been featured in the national press. CNN, the LA Times and the Washington Post praised the ads for their innovative approach and contribution to landslide upset victories. Monty Miranda was a finalist in the final season of Project Greenlight.
Miranda’s feature film directorial debut, “Skills Like This”, won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the 2007 SXSW FILM FESTIVAL. In August “Skills Like This,” had its International Premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival where it was honored with “BEST OF THE FEST”. Monty recently signed with Evolution Entertainment for theatrical and television representation. When not in Los Angeles Miranda resides in Denver and continues to direct TV commercials while developing his next feature film project.
Monty was raised in Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado.
As a commercial director, Monty is currently represented by Passport Films in Santa Monica
